Seed Starting 101 Workshop

Looking to grow your own produce & flowers this gardening season? Interested in learning more about starting seeds indoors?

Join us for a DIY seed-starting workshop. Get a head start on the upcoming growing season with unique varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowering plants for our Alberta climate. You'll choose some unique plant varieties among dozens of seed options, and create the ideal environment for your sprouting seeds. We will teach you the tips and tricks of starting seeds in Alberta, how to help them get to the seedling stage, and how to transplant them into gardens, raised beds, or planters.

Included in the workshop is everything else you need to build the seed-starting greenhouse. Please note that the workshop fee allows for one greenhouse per person.

We’re excited to welcome you into our workshop space located at 5-2501 Alyth Road SE, where you’ll enjoy a 2 hour interactive class. Please see the map for location details as all workshops are held at Plant Plant (our sister shop) just minutes away from our mainstreet Inglewood location.

Cost: $60 per person + Tax

Length: approx. 2 hours

The workshop includes:

• Step-by-step guide to creating your own seed-starting greenhouse
• Tips and tricks for starting your own seeds in Alberta
• All standard materials (multiple varieties of seeds of your choice, seed markers, seed-starting greenhouse, seed-starting guide, transplanting seedling pots)

Is there parking?
Yes! Our Plant Plant location has plenty of free parking right outside the front door. 

Where is the workshop space located?
Our workshop space is located in our sister shop Plant Plant, located at 5-2501 Alyth Road SE. Please see the map here. It is just minutes away from our flagship store in the heart of Inglewood. 

Are the tickets refundable?
All seasonal workshop tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Tickets for this workshop cannot be used as credit towards another class.

What if I need to change my date?
Unfortunately seasonal classes cannot be rescheduled or credited due to their seasonality. All ticket sales are final.
